About Warp
Warp is a proprietary, terminal-based agentic development environment from Warp that combines a command-line terminal, an AI agent mode, and built-in code editing and review workflows in one desktop application.
Developers type commands into block-based input with natural-language command search and output filtering, hand multi-step coding tasks to Agent Mode under an approval guardrail, and connect MCP servers plus personal knowledge and team Drive context. Frontier models including Claude, GPT, Gemini, and Copilot are built in, with bring-your-own-key on paid plans, and the same app covers editing with diff review, editor themes and keybindings, and extensions.
The service runs as hosted plans starting with Free at $0 per month with 150 requests, paid Pro and Pro AI tiers with larger request bundles, and Team and Business tiers listed as coming soon; extra usage is billed through pre-paid Warp Credits with a free zero-data-retention processing option. Desktop builds are published for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows (x86_64), and the official docs ship an iTerm2 importer plus step-by-step migration guides from iTerm2, Ghostty, and other terminals.
